Kettlebells from the Ground Up, The Kalos Sthenos Reviews
More than worth it
This review is from: dragondoor.com

More than worth it. I was quite skeptical at first but I'm glad I took the dive. I've read the book and watched the DVD's several times and still pick up something new. The TGU, when you really take time to get familiar with it, is about the best investment you can make in your strength.

If you’re looking for detailed beginner instruction on the TGU, you might have to look elsewhere

Anyway. While I was a tad disappointed with how long disc one dragged on for, and how they could have been a bit more detailed with the technique, on the whole it’s a very useful product to purchase. If you’re looking for detailed beginner instruction on the TGU, you might have to look elsewhere. But if you’re looking for a product that will help you maximise your progress, turn the Get Up into a unique remedial and assessment tool, and complement the instruction you get (even if it is just one session) with an RKC – Kettlebells From The Ground Up will serve you well. It’s worth considering, depending on your needs.

These are brilliant guys who make it easy for the rest of us to soak up their creative thinking

You can work the getup without knowing any of this, and if you’re attentive and you work toward perfecting your form, you don’t need the dvd to be successful. But if you’re not one of those who’s tuned in to your movement skills, or particularly if you’re a trainer who works with others and will benefit from the regression tips, this will be a good investment. Most of the TGU techniques now taught throughout the industry came from their study of the getup for this presentation. Whether this is worth it to you personally, I’d say that depends on whether you plan to actually use the getup—buying, watching, but not doing… well, you know where that goes. These are brilliant guys who make it easy for the rest of us to soak up their creative thinking. I’m a fan for sure.

Paradigm Shift in Training
This review is from: dragondoor.com

I had a strong TGU before I purchased this set. I had been working it hard, great results were coming and I was proud of myself. I picked up the Kalos Sthenos because I figured my technique could use a little refining. A little? I wish. I had been doing a LOT wrong with the TGU, and this series showed me how to correct it quick fast and in a hurry. I was forced to "empty my cup" and take on a whole new method of thinking/training the TGU. I took a week off to practice the TGU with no weight and nothing heavier than a 12K. Once I got back to heavy TGU's my newfound strength surprised the hell out of me. I nearly hit a Get Up with a 32 and 16K bell stacked in one hand! Don't sleep on this set, EVERYONE can benefit and improve from the Kalos Sthenos. Beautiful strength indeed.
